Motion settings
Also said as Reduce motion, Motion sickness options, Camera shake setting, Photosensitivity options
Controls over how much the picture moves by itself: camera shake, head bob, motion blur, flashes, field of view. They are for people who get ill or disoriented from on-screen movement, and they should default to the system's reduced-motion setting where one exists.
Motion sickness is physical, and no amount of willpower helps. A player who feels ill after ten minutes won't give you a second chance, and they often won't know which of your effects was to blame.
Say it
“Put camera shake, head bob and motion blur on sliders in the first-run settings, reading from the system's reduced-motion preference. Keep all flashes under three a second.”
Where you’ve seen it
The Last of Us Part II has a Motion sickness section: camera shake and motion blur on sliders from 1 to 10, camera distance, and full-screen effects you can switch off.
Not to be confused with screen shake
Screen shake is one effect. Motion settings are the controls over all such effects, and every shake you add should have one.
